Former NSW education minister gets new gig

He may no longer be NSW's education minister, but Adrian Piccoli will still be focused on schools in a new university post.

The man once dubbed one of the "best education ministers in the state", but dumped from the portfolio by Premier Gladys Berejiklian in January, has been appointed an honorary professor at the University of New South Wales.

Mr Piccoli will give guest lectures on politics, discuss teaching in public policy and education, and work in an outreach program for students to access tertiary studies, UNSW announced on Wednesday.
