Elderly woman dies in two-car Sydney smash

An elderly female passenger has been killed in a two-car smash in Sydney's west.
Two cars collided at a Cabramatta intersection just after 1pm on Wednesday with a female passenger, believed to be aged in her 70s, dying at the scene, police said.
The two drivers, along with another passenger, have all been taken to Liverpool Hospital with serious injuries.

Earlier, a driver was charged with drunk and dangerous driving over the death of a motorcyclist in a tiny holiday township on the NSW mid-north coast on Tuesday.
A 4WD collided with a BMW motorbike at a Hallidays Point intersection about 6pm, and the motorcyclist died instantly, police said.
