A Sydney driver charged over a collision in which a six-year-old girl was injured has admitted to being six times over the legal alcohol limit.

Barbara Meryl Farlow, 30, pleaded guilty to high range drink driving and using a mobile while driving, but pleaded not guilty to causing bodily harm by misconduct at Burwood Local Court on Wednesday.

Police say she was six times over the legal alcohol limit while attempting to reverse into a parking spot at Eastwood earlier in October.

According to police, she drove forward and struck the car in front, pushing it into another car and trapping the child.

She was granted bail and is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on December 7.
