Double fatality in NSW's central west

Two drivers have died after their vehicles crashed on the Mitchell Highway in NSW's central west.

A male driver of a four-wheel-drive and a female driver of a car died at the scene near Wellington on Friday afternoon, NSW Police said in a statement.

A male passenger of the sedan was trapped for a short time before being taken to Orange Hospital with serious injuries.
