A bomb threat at the multi-billion dollar Barangaroo construction site in Sydney's CBD has been found to be hoax - again.

Workers were evacuated as a precaution this morning after calls were made to Triple Zero.

It's the second hoax in just over a week after the site was evacuated after reports of a suspicious object on October 29.

In June the site was evacuated over another bomb hoax and a basement fire in March led to evacuations and major disruptions in the CBD.

CFMEU NSW secretary Brian Parker said each bomb threat was a setback for the site.

"You've got companies down there told when they will move in and take up residency," he said.

"This is putting that back further and further with the disruptions."

The Barangaroo area is being redeveloped as a residential and retail hub, with plans for a high-rollers’ casino owned by billionaire James Packer.
