Another delay in rocker's son murder case

A Sydney magistrate has told prosecutors to "get a move on" in the case of a young man accused of murdering the son of rocker Angry Anderson.

Mathew Flame is accused of beating to death his friend, 26-year-old Liam Anderson, on a Queenscliff street in November 2018 while allegedly under the influence of MDMA, marijuana and alcohol.

The 20-year-old did not appear at Manly Local Court on Tuesday when his case was adjourned to the same court on May 14.

Prosecutors have served a partial brief but requested a six-week adjournment, as they await a pathological report and two witness statements.

"I have granted that extension somewhat reluctantly but I have done it," magistrate Megan Greenwood said.

"It's just got to get a move on."
