Alleged buttock shooter charged in NSW

A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting another man in the buttocks in the NSW Upper Hunter region.

Police say the fight between two men happened more than two months ago and the 37-year-old man fled after shooting the 40-year-old victim at a home in Muswellbrook.

He was arrested at Campbelltown in Sydney's southwest on Tuesday night and charged with several offences including shoot with intent to murder on April 21.

The Lake Haven man was refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday.

The victim has since recovered after being treated at John Hunter Hospital.
