NSW drug syndicate busted by police
A large-scale methamphetamine ring operating in the NSW Hunter region has been busted by police.
Seven people have been arrested after officers raided properties in NSW and Queensland, seizing drugs and more than $100,000 in cash as part of an ongoing investigation.
Three women, 23, 42 and 49, and a 44-year-old man are due to appear in Maitland Local Court on Wednesday charged with numerous counts of supplying drugs.
Another man, 23, arrested in NSW, will face court accused of possessing a prohibited weapon and drugs, dealing with suspected proceeds of crime and holding goods in custody.
In Queensland, two men aged 29 and 45 were arrested on the Gold Coast and will be extradited on Wednesday.
They've been charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and directing the activities of a criminal group.
