A teenager allegedly armed with a homemade firearm and a knife has been pulled off a bus in Sydney's inner west.
Police say they saw the man board a bus in Haberfield at about 7pm on Monday and stopped it in nearby Leichhardt, searching the 18-year-old and finding a knife and staple gun with a barrel attached that is capable of firing .22 calibre rounds.
He was refused bail and charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition, having a knife in a public place and breaching bail and will face Newtown Local Court on Tuesday.
