Man charged over nursing home assaults

A former Blue Mountains nursing home worker has been charged with allegedly indecently assaulting several elderly women at the facility.

The 57-year-old man was on Thursday charged with six counts of aggravated indecent assault and given strict bail conditions.

The man was fired from the Lower Blue Mountains home, west of Sydney, in January after the facility's management received reports that seven elderly women had been assaulted between 2011 and 2014.

He is due to appear before Katoomba Local Court on April 28.
