Man charged after house fire on NSW Central Coast

A man has been charged with setting fire to a house after an argument in Tumbi Umbi, on the NSW Central Coast.

Police allege a 57-year-old man argued with a woman and threatened to burn down her Wendie Close home on Thursday afternoon.

After the woman left, he allegedly set fire to the property.

Fire and Rescue NSW later extinguished the fire.

The man was charged with malicious damage by fire.

He was refused bail to appear before Gosford Bail Court today.
