Light rail tram derailed after truck collision in Sydney's CBD
A light rail tram and a truck have collided in the Sydney CBD, triggering major traffic delays.
Pitt Street in Haymarket was closed in both directions at High Street, with very heavy northbound traffic backing up.
The truck and light rail collided at the corner of Pitt Street and Hay Street just before 7am.

The Dulwich Hill line tram had just left Central Station.
Images showed the tram had been at least partly derailed. About 60 passengers were been safely evacuated and no major injuries were reported.
The tram driver was heard apologising to the passengers, saying "I'm sorry guys, you didn't need that this morning".
Witnesses said they believed something had gone wrong with the truck.
"The truck, it looked like it was just rolling ... wasn't going real fast ... rolled through," witness Dane said.
"The tram didn't have time to stop, banged into him and he's banged into the poll after that.
"Looked like a brake failure or medical episode."

Light rail services were closed between Convention and Central, but continued to run from Dulwich Hill to Convention.
The tram will be sent to the depot so engineers can survey the extent of the damage.
