Trams between Central and Circular Quay in Sydney's CBD are back to normal after services were suspended this morning when overhead wires fell over the track.

The L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford line services are running on their regular routes and schedules.

Commuters were earlier told to catch the train between Central and Circular Quay instead of using the tram as wire repairs were underway at Rawson Place in Haymarket.
