But over the years the snacks our tastebuds once hankered for have disappeared from supermarket shelves.
These are the forgone heroes of the food world that have been discontinued throughout the years.
Toucan icy pole
The Toucan icy pole was a profilic multi-coloured treat between the 1990sand mid-2000s.
The play-on name referred to the snack's ability to be split into two separate icy poles.
Cadbury Time Out bar
Cadbury Time Out chocolate bars quietly left Australian supermarket shelves.
The bar was similar to experiencing a chocolate-coated Cadbury Flake but with an additional layer of crispy wafer.
Peters Monaco Bar
The Monaco Bar was a popular ice cream sandwich that emerged in the mid-80s.
The frozen treat consisted of a thick layer of vanilla ice cream wedged between two soft, chocolate-flavoured biscuits.
Pascall Columbines
An Australia institution, Pascall Columbines were a family favourite for generations.
The popular caramels had a slightly chewy outer and very chewy inner.
Dunkaroos
Dunkaroos were once a lunch box staple across Australian schools.
The childhood snack consisted of roo-shaped biscuits and choc hazelnut dip.
In 2020, Dunkaroos completely rebranded but never returned to Australian supermarkets.

The company behind the beloved ice block, Daily Juice Co, said there had been "sustained reduction in consumer demand".

The berry flavoured cola was marketed towards teenagers with its bright blue colour.
Scalliwags
Scalliwags were a biscuit made in the shape of the Golliwog toy - a doll that is considered offensive and racially insensitive.
In the mid-1990s Arnott's renamed the chocolate flavoured biscuits to Scalliwags before the discontinuing the snack altogether.
