Which country is the world's most peaceful and which is the least peaceful?
The annual Global Peace Index list has been released, with a rank of the peacefulness of 163 independent states and territories.
The data was compiled by the Institute for Economics and Peace, a leading international think tank.

The report revealed the gap between the most and least peaceful countries in the world is wider than it has been at any point in the last 16 years.
Compared to 2008, the 25 most peaceful countries were just one per cent more peaceful in 2024, while the 25 least peaceful countries were 7.5 per cent less peaceful.
According to the index, Mali has been named the 10th least peaceful country.
