Eastern Freeway truck driver will plead guilty to culpable driving charges
The truck driver involved in the Eastern Freeway crash which tragically killed four Victoria Police officers will plead guilty to four counts of culpable driving.
Mohinder Singh, 48, from Cranbourne has been in custody and appeared at the County Court today to make the plea, but the case was adjourned as prosecutors want it uplifted to the Supreme Court given the seriousness of the offences, which will cause a delay.
Mr Singh also intends to plead guilty to six other charges including possessing ammunition without a license, dealing with proceeds of crime, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking cannabis and other drug-related offences, the court heard.
Police allege he was affected by illicit drugs and fatigue while driving on April 22.
