Young parents killed, three kids survive Christmas Day crash

Three children have been found alive two days after a crash that killed their young mother and father on Christmas Day in Western Australia.

Cindy Braddock, 25, and Jake Day, 28, left Northam with their three children at 1am on Sunday.

The family of five was reported missing on Monday afternoon when they didn't make it to a Christmas celebration.

Police revealed this evening that the family's maroon Land Rover was found by a family member just 10 kilometres from their hometown of Kondinin about midday on Tuesday.

The children survived with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both of their parents had been killed.

Their two-month-old baby was still trapped inside in the car.

The two older children, a five-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy, managed to escape the vehicle but it is believed they were near the car for more than two days since the crash happened.

The children have all been taken to hospital.

It is understood they are all in a stable condition.
