New Sydney venue secured for Anzac Day rock concert
The controversial Anzac Day rock concert in Sydney that was cancelled in the Domain over concerns it would clash with commemorations has been moved to a new location.
The promoters of Pandemonium 2024 confirmed today the April 25 event will go ahead at Cathy Freeman Park in the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct.
Tickets already purchased for the cancelled Domain gig remain valid, they said in a social media post.

Performers include Placebo, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple and Blondie as well as other local and international acts.
News of the gig at its planned Domain site last week provoked a storm of protest by the RSL, leading New South Wales Premier Chris Minns to declare a rock concert just a few hundred metres from commemorative events was "inappropriate" and would not be going ahead.
RSL NSW president Mick Bainbridge said that a rock concert on Australia Day would overshadow the sacred day that should be for "respect and quiet contemplation".
But promoter Andrew McManus, of Apex Entertainment, insisted the event was never intended to be disrespectful.
His company was committed to donating a portion of ticket sales to two veterans' charities, Wounded Heroes Australia and Legacy, he said.
The Pandemonium festival is also playing in Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Bribie Island.
