ACT to ease restrictions early as territory hits 95 percent double-vaxxed milestone
The ACT will ease COVID-19 restrictions from Friday ahead of schedule after the territory achieved 95 per cent full vaccination.
From 11.59pm on Thursday, masks will not be required for most settings.
The ACT Government today confirmed the easing of restrictions had been brought forward by two weeks.

There will be no limits on home visits or informal outdoor gatherings, and density limits will be relaxed to allow one person for every two square metres in most indoor environments, including hospitality and retail.
Masks will still be required on public transport, in hospitals, aged care facilities and for teachers and high school students in class.

People attending indoor events such as wedding and funeral services will also need to wear a mask, as will customers at nail salons and hairdressers.
The new restrictions will be reviewed in January, the government said.
