'Everyone wanted this story': Tracy Grimshaw's interview with Beaconsfield miners
"The whole world was chasing that story, not just Australian media," Grimshaw said about her exclusive interview with miners Brant Webb and Todd Russell.
"Oprah wanted the story, everyone, David Letterman I think wanted the story, Diane Sawyer.
"Everyone wanted this story.
"Everyone wanted to know how these boys had done it, how these boys had survived."

Grimshaw said she was "desperate" to talk to the two men, whose story captivated the world.
A rockfall had occurred at the gold mine in northern Tasmania, trapping Webb and Russell almost a kilometre under the ground's surface and killing their colleague and father-of-three Larry Knight.
"I could not imagine what it was like down there," Grimshaw said.

Grimshaw said she can't understand how Webb and Russell managed to survive and revealed there are still so many things with their story that resonate for her today.
"They didn't just give up the ghost while they were down there," she said.
