WATCH: What surprised Tracy Grimshaw most about Oprah Winfrey

Grimshaw said for a long time she hoped she'd have a chance to interview Winfrey.
When the opportunity finally came up, in the lead-up to her tour of Australia, the A Current Affair host was "so pleased" that she met the US TV icon.
"I didn't feel like I was in a production line of people who were interviewing her that day, even though I was," Grimshaw revealed.

The A Current Affair host said she watched Winfrey's rise at a time when only "tiny blonde women", were ruling American television.
"She just never took a step back. I think she just took herself out to the suburbs and said, 'here I am, I hear you, I see you, I am you, come and spend some time with me'. I think that was how it worked for her," she said.
Grimshaw also revealed that when she was getting ready to get called onto the set for her interview with Winfrey, she was surprised that "a few minutes later the door opens and there was Oprah".
