Yahoo email users panicked after many report losing all emails and folders in outage

A number of Yahoo email users have taken to social media to report their email messages have disappeared.

The company has confirmed on Twitter “some users are experiencing Yahoo Mail issues”.

“Our Engineers are working quickly to resolve and we apologize for any inconvenience,” the tweet said.

There is no word on what caused the outage, how widespread the outage is, or if missing emails will be recovered.

“My mail contains everything I have ever had. Can't live without those emails,” one person said.

“I have lost all may mails, folders, everything! I saw my e-mail empty this morning - I need help,” another said.

Customers who have reached out to the company on Twitter have been asked to provide their Yahoo ID number so the company can “investigate further”.
