Dozens of women from a range of ethnicities have linked hands to show solidarity to the victims of the London terror attack.

The five minutes of silence began as the hands of Big Ben ticked over to 4pm (local time) yesterday afternoon.

Images showed the wall of women, all dressed in blue, with their hands linked along the bridge where unthinkable terror unfolded on Thursday.

Four people, including a mother of two and a respected policeman, were fatally mowed down by Khalid Masood.

Yesterday’s vigil was organised by Women’s March on London, a movement aimed at promoting the “fundamental rights” of women across the world.

“It is important that we come together at this time when tensions intensify in our communities,” organisers wrote on Facebook.
