Viewers shocked by video of mum using electric mixer to froth up baby’s bath

A Youtube video that shows a woman using an electric mixer in her baby’s bath has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.

While some comments praised the ‘cute factor’ of the baby dancing to ‘Bubble Butt’ in the bath as his parents beatboxed, most slammed the mother’s use of an electric mixer to stir up the water.

Many safety warnings for electric mixers specify that the appliance’s body, cord and plug should be kept well away from water to reduce the risk of electric shock or even electrocution.

“Next time use the hair dryer, it’s way more effective to make bubble,” one commenter joked.

“Just throw a toaster in for good measure,” another commenter wrote.

Supporters wrote “family goals”, and said that people were only concerned by the electric mixer because they “don’t understand science”.

The video was posted five months ago and has been watched 515,000 times.
