'Utter destruction' as war continues in Gaza

The Palestinian town of Shejaia, east of Gaza, has been torn apart by war.

We arrived during a two hour ceasefire, agreed by both sides, so paramedics could get in and civilians could get out.

All we found was utter destruction.

Cars were blown out, buildings were flattened and dozens of people were pulled from their crumpled homes.

Diplomacy and mediation can't come soon enough but neither side is prepared to yield.

With blood on the streets the war rumbles on.
