Senior stripped of diploma for graduation prank

An American graduating senior has been stripped of his diploma after stripping off and parading on stage in his underwear while collecting the award.

Quinton Murphy gave audience members attending Jack Britt High School's graduation ceremony in Fayetteville, North Carolina, an eyeful on Wednesday after disrobing on stage to reveal a pair of leopard-print jocks.

The gallery let out an audible gasp as the teenager threw his clothing aside and posed, arms stretched in the air, before making his escape.

With five more graduation ceremonies scheduled for the Cumberland County area in coming days, school officials hope Mr Murphy's punishment will deter other students from performing similar pranks.
