Pentagon releases second batch of declassified UFO files following previous release of more than 160 files
The Pentagon has released a second batch of files containing alleged sightings and documents of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), or UFOs.
The first batch was released earlier this month on a government website and featured 162 documents of UAP sightings. The site was viewed more than one billion times, according to the US government.
Yesterday's release contained 50 more videos and documents spanning back decades, including first-hand testimonies from civilians and military members.

The Pentagon has received hundreds of reports of new UFO sightings, including "several particularly interesting cases." Nine
The information comes from a range of sources, including US government agencies, military branches, the FBI, the US state department and NASA.
One video, from 2019 in the Middle East, reportedly shows three UAP's flying in formation over the Persian Gulf.
Another video from Iran in 2022 shows four UAPs cruising past vessels on the water off the nation.
None of the videos features any additional explanations, and the Pentagon has said that it has no evidence to prove that any of the videos are extraterrestrial.

On May 8, the US Department of Defence said the public "can ultimately make up their own minds about the information contained in these files".
Polling found that most US citizens believe that aliens exist, and half think they have visited Earth.
Earlier this year, US President Donald Trump called for the release of the files, saying there was "tremendous interest".
