US television host Savannah Guthrie has reissued a plea for information about her mother’s whereabouts, months after the 84-year-old disappeared from her Arizona home.

Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her Tuscon home in February, police believe, though no suspects or persons of interest have been identified.

Her daughter Savannah, who co-hosts NBC’s Today, overnight posted a photo of an old drawing by her own daughter to Instagram, showing a blue umbrella in the rain above the written words “It might not seem like it, but I really need my mommy”.

Guthrie said the drawing “says so much” about her own feelings.

“The world goes on, things appear ‘normal’ - as we try to keep going and be strong, especially for our young kids - but it’s not and it never will be,” she wrote.

“For Annie and Tommy, for Cam and Kristine, for Mike and me and for all of mom’s beloved grandchildren: we ache for her, we cry out for answers, we cannot move forward.

“We need someone to help us, tell us what you know. Our mom was a light in this world. We want to celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves.

“The reward is still available. Please. We are begging you. Please help us.”

She thanked all well-wishers for their kindness and support in the intervening months.

Multiple ransom notes claiming to be connected to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance have been issued since February.

Investigators have debunked many of them as spurious but have said they do believe the kidnapping was linked to a ransom demand.

Footage released earlier this year showed a masked man at the older Guthrie’s front door.

The Guthrie family has offered a $US1 million ($1.42 million) reward for information about the grandmother’s whereabouts.

Human remains were found in August just over 24km from Nancy Guthrie’s home, but police have said there is no apparent connection to the case.

Savannah Guthrie has issued multiple personal pleas to the presumed kidnappers, begging for information about her mother’s whereabouts and wellbeing.
