FBI investigating death of Lindsey Graham as assassination theories swirl
Soon after the unexpected death of US Senator Lindsey Graham, FBI Director Kash Patel made a statement that raised eyebrows.
“Senator Lindsey Graham was a devoted public servant, a fierce defender of our nation, and a true patriot who dedicated his life to the people of South Carolina and the United States,” Patel wrote on X.

“Our prayers are with his family, loved ones, colleagues, and all those who knew him during this devastating time.
“The FBI is assisting local authorities and has made every necessary resource available.”
The last detail has sparked confusion as well as prompted conspiracy theories about the senator’s death.
The FBI has declined to make further comment after Patel’s statement, but whether a criminal investigation into Graham’s death has not been made public.
The DC chief medical examiner concluded that Graham died of an aortic dissection due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
But the death certificate will not be issued until all toxicological and microscopic tests are concluded.
But suspicions of foul play have been raised by more than just the usual suspects.
Bill Browder, a prominent financier with a long and antagonistic history with the Russian government, weighed in.

“Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but Lindsay Graham was the leading driver of the devastating sanctions bill against Russia,” Browder said.
“He had just returned from Ukraine where it’s not unknown for Russian agents to operate.
“Russians are expert at administration of poisons that look like heart attacks.”
He called for a close investigation of Graham’s death.
“All tests should be done immediately to rule out foul play.
“I’ve seen enough Russian related suspicious deaths to know this is the only course of action.”
Graham was perhaps Russia’s most hated man in Washington DC.
The senator was a close confidant and adviser to Donald Trump, as well as a vocal supporter of Ukraine.
Graham has been instrumental in maintaining support for the Ukraine war effort despite Trump’s friendly demeanour towards Russia.
Another Trump confidante, Laura Loomer, voiced her suspicions of both Russia and Iran.

“Maybe it was a cardiac issue, but given the senator’s high profile, recent threats against his life, and his travels abroad to a war zone, we need to know for certain,” she said.
“It’s imperative that the FBI conducts their own toxicology report on Senator Graham. The DC crime lab is incompetent.”
At present there is no indication of any foul play in Graham’s death. His father also died of a similar heart condition at a similar age.
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster said Graham’s sister would be appointed to serve the rest of his term.
Darline Graham Nordone does not have any formal political background but Trump said he recommended her to the governor.
“This would be a fabulous tribute to Lindsey, who loved her dearly!” the president wrote on Truth Social.
She will serve in the position until a replacement is elected in November.
Graham Nordone will be the first woman to serve as a senator from the state of South Carolina.
