Donald Trump's second administration has been under way for just over a month and the US president has spent the last few weeks building a controversial team.
The 47th president of the United State's second term is already looking a little different this time around.
Ahead of his election win, Trump made it clear he made "mistakes" with his first administration and is changing it up with these fresh appointments.
We have compiled a list of his key appointments and staff selections so far, including those who have been confirmed by the Senate.

Dan Bongino
Podcast host, conservative political commentator and former NYPD officer Dan Bongino has been picked as the FBI's deputy director under Donald Trump.
Bongino hosts the Dan Bongino Show Podcast and was a vocal supporter of Trump's claims the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.
The president announced Bongino's nomination in a post on Truth Social, describing it as "great news for law enforcement and American justice".
Though he has never served in the bureau, Bongino worked as a Secret Service agent and once provided security for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
He also has political ambitions; Bongino unsuccessfully ran for a Senate seat in Maryland in 2012 and lost two races for congressional seats in 2014 and 2016.
Bongino will join FBI director Kash Patel, who has also never worked in the bureau, as his right-hand man in the FBI.
He spoke about the appointment on his podcast and said it would be a "pretty wild ride".
"Every single thing I have in me, every single strand of DNA cell in my body is going to be dedicated towards keeping this homeland safe, no matter what," he said.
"We are going to re-establish faith in this institution.
"But this is the honour of a lifetime, and it's a serious mission."
Katie Miller
Katie Miller, the wife of the president's deputy chief of staff and policy adviser Stephen Miller, has been chosen by Donald Trump to join the controversial Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Miller has been - in Trump's own words - a "loyal supporter" of his candidacy and she brings some experience to the role after serving as deputy press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security during his first administration.
She currently works as a spokesperson for the transition team for Trump's nominated health and human services secretary, Robert Kennedy Jr.
"Katie Miller will soon be joining DOGE! She has been a loyal supporter of mine for many years, and will bring her professional experience to Government Efficiency," Trump said in a message on Truth Social.
Steve Feinberg
The president-elect has also made some key appointments at the Pentagon.
Trump has nominated billionaire investor Steve Feinberg as the deputy secretary of defence under his administration, the second-in-charge role at the Pentagon.
Feinberg is the co-chief executive at Cerberus Capital Management and is a loyal Trumpian, having served on his intelligence advisory board during the president's first term.
Elbridge Colby
Meanwhile, national security expert Elbridge Colby has been announced as Trump's choice for the third most important role at the Pentagon, undersecretary of defense for policy.
Colby worked as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Strategy and Force Development from 2017 to 2018 during the first Trump administration.
Tilman Fertitta
Trump's pick as the next US ambassador to Italy is billionaire and Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta.
Trump announced Fertitta's nomination on his own platform Truth Social and lauded the basketball boss for his business prowess.
"I am pleased to announce that Tilman J. Fertitta has been nominated to serve as the United States Ambassador to Italy. Tilman is an accomplished businessman, who has founded and built one of our Country's premier entertainment and real estate companies, employing approximately 50,000 Americans," he said.
"Tilman has a long history of giving back to the community through numerous philanthropic initiatives, which include children's charities, Law Enforcement, and the medical community. Additionally, Tilman is the longest serving Chairman of the Board of Regents for the University of Houston. He also owns the Houston Rockets Basketball Team."

In the sports world, Fertitta has transformed the Houston Rockets, instilling a winning culture and a commitment to community.

Mark Burnett
Mark Burnett, the power producer who helped reintroduce Donald Trump to a national television audience with The Apprentice, is being tapped by the president-elect as special envoy to the United Kingdom in his administration.
"With a distinguished career in television production and business, Mark brings a unique blend of diplomatic acumen and international recognition to this important role," Trump announced on Saturday.
Burnett, who was born in London, helped produce hits like Survivor and The Voice, but is perhaps best known for teaming up with Trump for The Apprentice, which first aired on NBC in 2004.
Trump had been well-known in real estate and pop culture circles for decades.
But the show helped again make him a household name – though Trump severed ties with NBC in 2015, the same year he launched his first White House run.
"Mark is known for creating and producing some of the biggest shows in Television History," Trump wrote in his statement on Burnett, listing many of his biggest hits before adding, "most notably, The Apprentice" and noting that Burnett "has won 13 Emmy Awards!"
Special envoys are usually picked by presidents for the world's traditional hotspots, including the Middle East – where Trump has already said he'd like Steven Witkoff to fill the role.
The United Kingdom, which has long enjoyed a "special relationship" with the US that makes it one of Washington's strongest global allies, is not typically a candidate for such posts.
