US cops in all out brawl in botched raid

A police raid of a house full of undercover cops in the US has turned into an embarrassing all-out brawl.

The incident took place last week when uniformed officers from the Detroit Police Department stormed a home they believed was occupied by drug dealers.

Inside was a crew of undercover cops, Global News reports.

Body cam footage released by the police department showed officers aggressively arguing with each other as they struggle to get a handle on the situation.

At one point, an officer from the 11^th precinct can be heard yelling: “We have a search warrant”.

As it turned out, undercover officers from the 12th precinct did not have a search warrant to enter the premises and had not informed anyone they would be there.

Despite the situation calmly resolving itself, officers ended up taking a swing at each other.

Two officers were injured.

“This is probably one of the most embarrassing things I’ve seen in this department,” Detroit Police chief James Craig told reporters.

“In fact, it’s probably one of the most disappointing things I’ve experienced in my entire 40-year career.”

An investigation is being launched into the blunder.
