Missing man's body found in pub freezer may have been there for years
The body of a man found in a freezer in a disused London pub may have been there for years, police say.
The remains of Roy Bigg were found in a freezer in the Newham region on October 15, 2021.
The freezer was in the basement of the building that had at one time operated as Simpson's Wine Bar, in Forest Gate.

The body was found by builders working at the site.
Bigg went missing in February 2012.
He was born in September 1944, and police believe he may have been about 70 when he died.

"We believe that Roy's body may have been in the freezer for a number of years," Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen of the Met's Specialist Crime Command said.
"Speaking to people who knew him will help us establish not only his lifestyle and habits, but also when he was last seen."
Bigg's cause of death remains uncertain after a post-mortem. His remains were identified through his dental records.
