A police inquiry is underway after two male recruits were allegedly forced to participate in degrading sex acts as part of a Queen’s Guard initiation ceremony.

The soldiers, aged 23 and 28, had recently joined 2 Company, Welsh Guards, at Pirbright Barracks in Surrey, when they were invited into a TV room last September by fellow guardsmen.

After watching a Rugby World Cup match between Wales and Uruguay, the recruits were allegedly ordered by their colleagues to strip or risk facing bullying, the Sun reports.

They were then allegedly told to perform sexual acts on one another while being filmed by their colleagues.

The footage was then allegedly shared among guardsmen the following morning.

The incident was reported to the victims’ Regimental Sergeant Major, prompting an investigation.

A Lance Corporal has reportedly been disciplined and five other soldiers punished for their involvement in the incident.

An Army spokesman has confirmed an incident is under investigation, but that no allegations of “coercive or criminal behaviour” have been made.

Surrey Police are believed to have since launched a police investigation into the matter.

One of the alleged victims is said to taken sick leave due to psychiatric problems and is seeking an administrative discharge.

The other alleged victim remains with the battalion and has been reportedly subjected to further bullying.

Both had just completed seven months training in Catterick, North Yorks prior to the alleged incident.

Pirbright Barracks is located near Deepcut Barracks, where four recruits died in mystery shootings over a seven-year period from 1995, amid claims of bullying.
