A 14-year-old British boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged plot to attack Anzac Day commemorations in Australia and is set to be charged with terror offences.
The teenager was arrested in Blackburn in connection with an alleged plan to stage an attack at events to mark the centenary of the First World War Anzac landings, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said on Thursday.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday accused of two offences of inciting terrorism overseas - inciting an attack on an Anzac parade, and inciting another person to behead someone in Australia.
