Toddler saves mother's life

The audio has been released of a two-year-old boy who had only just learned to talk saving his mother's life with a phone call to paramedics.

Panting and struggling to speak, little Riley Ward from Leicestershire in England, rang emergency services after his mother, Dana Henry, collapsed on the floor and would not wake up.

A female operator can be heard struggling to garner information from the youngster.

"Hello," Riley continues to say as the operator attempts to figure out the emergency.

Finally, after Riley mentions that: "Mummy's asleep" and "mummy's on the floor", the call is transferred to the ambulance service, which managed to trace it.

Paramedics were able to rush over to the home where they found Ms Henry who had collapsed due to a dangerous blood clot.

"I am so proud of Riley. He is mummy's little hero," Ms Henry told The Telegraph.

"I have told so many of my friends and family about what he did. My friends who have young children are so amazed, and are making sure their children would know what to do."

Ms Henry that said she and her partner, Rob Ward, had always drilled it into Riley and his sister, Caitlin, five, to ring emergency services if they could ever not wake either of them.
