Rap search for new housemate

A group of friends looking for a new housemate in the UK has shunned the usual searching route – instead creating a rap video to show the world what they've got to offer.

The “gang” introduce themselves to viewers as Steph, Johnny, Izzy D and Jodie, before taking viewers on a virtual tour of their house.

"Now take a seat, listen up and lend us your ear," housemate Johnny begins, "we're gonna tell you about our house and the people that live here".

The camera follows Johnny around as he talks up the house:

"The house has got all the usual things, washing machine, dishwasher [and] R2 bin."

The group even invested in pop-up graphics that let potential roommates know the $554 a month price tag includes bills… and cats.

The trio give an eight bar run down of themselves - highlighting their personalities and careers.

The video ends with a shout out to anyone who wants to join their crew to send them an email.

And it seems to have worked a treat – with the crew updating their YouTube post with the message: "Thank you to everyone that got in touch! Sorry, no more applications now."
