English tourists narrate a driver's journey down the wrong side of the highway

A pair of aghast Englishmen have provided an energetic commentary as they filmed a woman driving the wrong way down a three-way highway in Spain.

The two British tourists were astonished to discover a black hatchback driving up the emergency lane of a highway on Mallorca on Tuesday afternoon, with dozens of cars zooming in the other direction.

"I can’t f---ing believe it, he is coming back out," one of the Englishmen said.

"He's going to try and spin round."

The black hatchback then moves as if it is about to make a U-turn across the three lanes of opposing traffic, but instead steers straight down the middle of two lanes, nearly causing multiple collisions.

As the Englishmen overtake the car on the correct side of the highway, they realise the car was being driven by a woman.

"What the hell was she doing? What was she thinking there?" the driver said.

La Vanguardia reports the 55-year-old woman was a visitor to the island and has been charged with reckless driving.

Only one car was damaged during her unsafe drive, which reportedly took place over several kilometres.
