Driver face-plants trying to attack cyclist

An enraged English driver has face-planted into the bitumen chasing after a cyclist he wanted to steal a camera from after almost running him over in his car.

The cyclist was riding in the middle of a road in the English city of Reading when the driver of a green sedan hurtled closely past him.

Footage from cameras mounted at the front and rear of the bike shows the entire exchange between the two men after the rider followed the car to an intersection and warned him to be careful.

What follows is an expletive-filled rant by the motorist, who blasts the cyclist for "taking the whole f------ road".

"Are you a f------ tank?" the driver says as he grows increasingly furious.

The swearing-filled exchange continues before the cyclist eventually tells the driver he is going to report him to the police.

The threat tips the driver over the edge and he rushes out of his car and after the cyclist trying to speed away from an impending attack.

"Right, I'm taking your f------ camera," the driver says as he gives chase, but his run only lasts for several seconds before he loses balances and plunges face-first into the ground.

The video was uploaded to YouTube on Thursday and has already been viewed almost half a million times.

It is unknown if any charges have been laid or if the man suffered any injuries.

The cyclist has been contacted by ninemsn for comment.
