Cliff collapse caught on camera

The wild weather battering the United Kingdom has put on a show in southern England — causing part of a cliff to dramatically collapse in front of excited onlookers.

The cliff at Rock-a-Nore, East Sussex fell into the sea overnight as a crowd of spectators cheered the spectacular display of nature's power, the BBC reports.

Kevin Ice, who witnessed the collapse, said it was "absolutely amazing".

"I've never seen anything like it in my life," he said.

"Luckily there was no one around past the railings, where we were, and sometimes people fish round there.

"There's a lot more up there ready to come down."

The collapse was caused by "very rough seas" hammering away at the base of the cliff, a spokesman for Hastings Borough Council said.

No one was injured but the authorities have urged residents to stay away from the coastline and coastal paths.
