TV host accidentally gives away a luxury holiday

A woman won a luxurious holiday on live TV in the US this week even though she gave the wrong answer to the host’s question.

Thanks to some poor listening skills by host Michael Strahan on US breakfast show Live With Kelly and Michael, he practically gave the prize away.

All caller Kelly Copeland had to do was answer one question correctly and she was off to Puerto Rico for six nights.

Earlier in the week the show had talked to guest Jeremy Renner so Strahan asked Copeland: “What sport did Jeremy say he once taught as a part-time job?”

As if to double check the question, Copeland replied: “Sport?”

Without a blink of an eye Strahan awarded Copeland the prize: “Bowling, you got it, that’s it!” much to his co-host Kelly Ripa’s horror.

It only took a few seconds for a distraught Strahan to realise what he’d just done, bringing howls of laughter from the live studio audience.

The hosts played along, with Ripa proclaiming: “Congratulations Kelly, you’re going to Puerto Rico!”

“Honestly the least you can do is bring Michael with you,” Ripa said.

Ripa and Strahan blamed the hilarious mistake on bad acoustics in the studio.
