Life imitates art as True Blood star admits to drinking human blood

In a case of life imitating art, a star of hit television series True Blood has admitted that he is partial to drinking human blood.
Jim Parrack, who plays down-to-earth country boy Hoyt Fortenberry on the HBO vampire series, told entertainment website Vulture that he drinks blood a few times a year.
He said he craved blood for the “same reason some people want alcohol” and that he was very particular about whose blood he consumed.
“I don’t mean copious amounts of blood, I’m not getting a glass of it or something,” Mr Parrack said.
“But if you drink it, it does something to you emotionally… It’s kind of like you’re in the moment, and the impulse comes, and I like it.”
Mr Parrack said he did not drink animal blood, and referenced an incident earlier in the year when he drank the blood of his girlfriend.
True Blood will conclude its final season in the US next Sunday.
