Trespasser trips playing 'chicken' with moving train

A game of "chicken" between two men and a train in Britain almost ended in tragedy when one of the men tripped and fell onto the tracks.

Footage of the incident was captured by British Transport Police on a so-called Q Train — an undercover dummy train that sweeps for trespassers and vandals, the Mirror reports.

The footage shows one man skip across the tracks and land safely on the other side while his accomplice loses his footing and ends up sprawled on his front as the train bears down on him.

The man manages to roll aside in the nick of time.

British railway authorities released the footage as police step up the use of Q Trains to target crime hotspots on the rail network.

The trains look like normal passenger trains but carry police who are ready to jump off and arrest suspected troublemakers.

British Transport Police said hundreds of children and young adults risk their lives every year by trespassing.

Authorities did not reveal where or when the footage was taken.
