Three women charged over alleged plot to blow up car near Notre Dame cathedral

Three women suspected of plotting to blow up a car packed with gas canisters near the famed Notre Dame cathedral in Paris have been charged with terror offences remanded in custody.
The charges were laid on Monday local time, the prosecutor's office said.
The women are believed to have been spurred by repeated calls by the Islamic State group for attacks in France.

They are also suspected of having planned to strike a train station in the Paris area or to target police.
