Soapbox derby racer crashes into spectator

It was all going so well for one soapbox derby racer before someone didn't move fast enough.

In a video uploaded online this week, a wannabe speed-demon is shown racing down an unknown street during what appears to be a specially-organised soapbox derby event.

The footage, which appears to have come from a helmet-mounted camera, shows the driver practically flying down a street lined with eager onlookers, many of whom are forced to jump out of the way of the oncoming vehicle.

Until one poor spectator is too slow.

The video shows the painful crash that left the woman surely in pain after slamming into the road.

But rather than stop and check on his victim, the racer continues on his way without giving so much as a glance to the women he's knocked over.

Little is known about the video, including where it was filmed or how the soapbox racer fared in the race.
