This is one way to liven up a dull university lecture.

‘Sleeping’ University of Washington student Trong Huynh left his lecturer speechless when he suddenly rolled off a table and onto the floor from behind the room’s projection screen.

Video, uploaded to YouTube, shows Mr Huynh casually picking himself up off the ground and walking out of the room without making eye contact with anyone.

The sudden interruption causes the nonplussed university lecturer, who had been talking about storm surges and hurricanes, to pause for several seconds.

‘No comment,” the lecturer finally says with a shrug as the students in the crowd laugh.

The video of the incident has been viewed more than 100,000 times since it was uploaded four days ago.

But, although he admitted it was a prank, Mr Huynh said he wasn’t even aware it was being filmed.

“So a lot of my friends have asked me what I've been doing in college,” Mr Huynh said in a Facebook post with a link to the video.

“This is a recent prank I did at the University of Washington and I had no idea it was being recorded, but just today someone sent me this clip and I thought it was great.”
