Dog attacked by bull shark while playing in ocean
A US woman was playing fetch with her dog in the ocean when a US emerged from nowhere and tore through it's leg.
The two-year-old pooch "Boobie" had rushed into the water, near Virginia Key, Florida, while her owner Ana Maña and a friend watched onshore.
Traumatised Ms Maña told local news outlet WSVN she was confronted by a pool of blood in the water after the sudden attack.

"I really thought she was going to die right there in my arms," Ms Maña said.
"There was a lot of blood in the water. It was like a trail of blood."
"She was screaming in so much pain," Ms Maña said.
Ms Mana's quick-thinking friend Angelica Mousset grabbed a towel "out of instinct" and wrapped the injured animal up tightly.

"I thought we had lost the dog at that moment," she said.
Boobie was rushed to Miami Veterinary Specialists in Southwest Miami-Dade, where she underwent emergency surgery to "completely rebuild" her leg.
"It opened up the knee joint. Her muscles are torn apart, her tendons, her arteries, everything was just chewed by the shark," "Ms Maña said.
"They had to rebuild her leg because the shark did get through the joint."
