Russian driver captures terrifying moment truck pops a tire and rolls on side along bridge

A Russian driver has managed to capture on dash camera the terrifying moment a truck driver loses control after a tyre burst.

The driver was travelling along a major road in Irkutsk, one of the largest cities in Siberia last Thursday.

As she approaches a bridge, a large truck - believed to be carrying vegetables - pops a tyre.

The truck then starts veering into the wrong lane and turns onto its side.

Travelling at such a speed, the truck keeps sliding on its side across the bridge - with guard rails piercing the truck's trailer.

With the truck approaching her, the driver screeches to a halt and can be heard yelling "Mamma Mia!"

Luckily nobody was injured.

YouTube commenters have noted what a terrifying situation it was for the driver.

"Oh gosh how frightening," Verdant Hush wrote.

"Dang! Scary thing to have happen - especially when it looks like it's going to hit you," Kristy K James said.

However, user Waffle noted: "This is everyday in Russia. Nothing unusual."
