Australia have claimed a historic gold medal after beating New Zealand 24-17 in the final of the women's rugby sevens at the Rio Olympics.
The green and gold become the first team to climb to the top of the dais in the tournament's first appearance at the Games.

Canada claimed the bronze medal after beating Great Britain 33-10.
