Rare live snake birth caught on camera

It’s a common misconception that all snakes lay eggs but a group of Cambodians managed to film a very rare live snake birth.

The viper was filmed by a party of Khmer, excitedly watching as the highly venomous snake thrashes around, rolling over and over, as it delivers several babies.

The newborn reptiles appear instantly vicious, looking to give mum a few bites as they crawl around on earth for the first time.

It's very uncommon to see a snake deliver a live-birth as roughly 70 percent of the world's snakes lay eggs.

Egg-laying snakes tend to live in warmer climates, which help incubate their eggs.

Live-birthing snakes live in cooler regions, where the ground is too cold for the eggs to develop on their own.
