US police hunt the Grinch who stole Halloween

Police are hunting an alleged Halloween thief who has been caught on camera pinching a spooky skeleton and other decorations in the US state of Michigan.

Security footage shows the man pilfering festive décor from a Livonia home, and resident Adriana Mraz told Fox2 Detroit it was not the first time he’d struck.

The decorations were worth about $400, Ms Mraz said.

The Livonia Police Department confirmed that the same suspect had also stolen a package and lawn décor from the home in June.

The last theft occurred early Saturday morning, ahead of Halloween on October 31.
